Exceptional Dia De Los Muertos skull wood carving by the very talented Roque family at their workshop Oaxaca. This fantastic skull was expertly carved out of copal wood which is native to Oaxaca and the preferred wood for most carvers in Oaxaca. The carving was very well done with perfect proportions of an actual skull. The jaw was attached with wooden dowels which even allow it to move up and down. A very well done work of Mexican folk art!
