    This life-size human skull replica was created by the Huichol artists of the Northern region of Jalisco. Thousands of beads were placed one at a time with time-consuming detail and the result is absolutely stunning.
    The Huichol people, also known as Wixaritari, are Native Mexicans who live mainly in the Northern parts of Jalisco and Nayarit but also live in Zacatecas as well as Durango. They are known all over the world for their colorful and imaginative works of art which typically involve the use of beads and or yarn.
