Masterpiece beaver by top Oaxacan artists Jose Calvo & Magaly Fuentes. Expertly carved ut of a single piece of copal wood by Jose and painted with the signature Fuentes style by his wife Magaly. The vibrant colors and Zapotec inspired patterns are a style that originated with Magaly's father Epifanio who was one of the original alebrije carvers in Oaxaca. He has passed away but his spirit lives on in his children who continue to create beautiful works of art using the skills and style that he passed down to them. A great work of Mexican folk art by a very talented and respected family of artists!
