Exquisite one-piece wild boar alebirije wood carving handcrafted by the Melchor family at their workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico. Expertly carved out of a single piece of copal wood and painted with fine detail. The patterns adorning the entire piece were inspired by those found throughout the Zapotec ruins in Oaxaca and have a large importance in Oaxacan culture. A great piece of Mexican art that would be an excellent addition to any collection.
