Wonderful quetzalcoatl feathered serpent fusion alebrije wood carving by the very talented Morales family at their workshop in the town of Arrazola, Oaxaca. Expertly carved out of locally sourced copal wood and painted with intricate Zapotec patterns. The ancient Zapotecs continue to have a great importance and influence on the Oaxaca culture to this day and the patterns seen throughout the ancient ruins can be found incorporated in the art made my artisans.
