Fantastic Dante dog alebrije wood carving by top Oaxacan artists Nicolas Morales & Laura Jimenez. Expertly carved out of locally sourced copal wood by Nicolas and painted with fine detail by Laura. The intricate patterns adorning the entire piece were inspired by the ancient Zapotec ruins which are found in Oaxaca and have a great importance on the culture to this day. A great work of Mexican art for any collection!
