Excellent large opossum by the talented Sosa family at their Oaxaca workshop located in the small town of Tilcajete. Handcrafted out of a single piece of copal wood using traditional techniques with small carving knives and chisels. It was decorated with Zapotec patterns & incredible fretwork as the Sosa has come to be known for. They have really developed their own distinctive style of carving and painting that collectors admire. An exceptional work of Mexican art!
