Exceptional one-piece fish wood carving by the very talented Roque family. Expertly carved out of copal wood at their workshop in the small town of San Martin Tilcajete. The fine detail in this piece incorporates ancient Zapotec patterns which are found in the ruins throughout Oaxaca and have a great importance in the Oaxacan culture and arts.
