Exceptional winged coyote wood carving by the Roque family at their workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico. This beautiful piece was painted to perfection with geometric designs inspired by ancient Zapotec symbolism which has great importance and a large presence in Oaxacan culture. Such a majestic pose as the coyote is howling to the moon with his wings outstretched and ready to fly. An incredibly carved piece with equally detailed painting.
