This fantastic lion wood carving with spinning top was made by the very talented Roque family in Oaxaca. The lion was expertly carved out of a single piece of copal wood while the spinning top is detachable and has a metal pin which is secured in a hole on the lions hand. Such a creative and well carved piece with great detail in the painting.
