Masterpiece hawk wood carving by top Oaxacan artist Eleazar Morales. Expertly crafted out of a single piece of copal wood and decorated with fine detail. At first glance you might think the body was painted with a fine paint brush but the detailing was actually done by burning the wood with a hot pointed piece of metal. Eleazar is most well known for his exceptionally detailed carvings of wildlife and this is a prime example of his talent.
