Beautiful huichol jaguar made by the native people of the Sierra Madre in the northern part of the Mexican state of Jalisco. Each bead is individual placed on a layer of bees wax upon the carved wood jaguar sculpture. The indigenous people of Mexico (Wixarika) who produce bead and yarn art are known for their attention to detail and colorful designs depicting their culture.
