Wonderful hippo alebrije wood carving by the Morales family. Expertly carved out of copal wood which was sourced in the fields surrounding the town of Arrazola, Oaxaca. The painting is inspired by ancient Zapotec patterns which are found on ruins throughout Oaxaca and have great importance on Oaxacan culture.
