Exceptional one-piece Zapotec bear alebrije wood carving by the Morales family. This beautiful piece was expertly carved out of a single piece of copal wood which is considered sacred and is the wood of choice for most wood carvers in Oaxaca. The intricate designs finely painted all over this piece were inspired by those found on the ancient Zapotec ruins in Oaxaca.
