Fantastic huichol beaded elephant handcrafted by the indigenous Huichol people of Jalisco. This piece was carved out of wood and then decorated with hundreds of colored beads depicting several important huichol images such as fire, the sky and peyote. The thousands of beads were placed one-by-one onto a layer of natural glue which is made by the huichol people by mixing beeswax and pine resin.
